This Course Rocks!
Music every mile makes up the heart and “sole” of this event. Live bands and DJs will be playing a variety of music from alternative to classic rock, punk, funk and blues to jazz it up.
The bands set the tempo for the course, where runners and spectators alike will be “dancin’ in the streets” to these mini-concerts.
Bands Wanted to Perform Along the Course
Is your band ready to rock for thousands of athletes and spectators? The Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon Series is looking for the best, high-energy local music from all genres to perform along the race course.
If your band is interested in the opportunity to perform, apply here to submit your materials. Please include a contact information sheet and submit it with samples of your music, a band bio and a publicity photo.
Post Race Concert
All runners are treated to a post race concert at the Finish Line Festival. Concert admission is FREE and open to the Public.
Last year, local Dublin band, Delorentos, rocked the streets of St. Stephen’s Green, playing their hits, “Stop,” “Do You Realise” and “Secret” to name a few. The sun was shining, which is usually reason enough to celebrate, but the fact that most of the audience had just completed a half marathon was the real reason everyone was smiling. Runners and spectators had their hands in their air and their hips moving and shaking. Good tunes, a great run, and a fabulous host city. We’ll be back for more next year! Stay tuned for news on the 2104 headliner act.
